Teens Take Action on Climate: Gen Z Leads Tree Planting and Cleanup in Sylhet

Sylhet is known for its lush tea gardens, but flash floods and climate shifts are putting the region at risk. Fed up with adult inaction, a coalition of school and college students has launched a major tree-planting campaign.

Over the last weekend, more than 1,000 native tree saplings were planted along riverbanks to prevent soil erosion. The campaign is funded entirely by pocket-money donations and small local sponsorships.
